The JPGA is the first Golf Academy in the south of the United States. The mission is to help prepare junior golfers to compete in high level tournaments, and hopefully one day receive a college scholarship in some American university.
Our organization GOLF SCHOOL HOLIDAYS will help to those parents who request so, to coordinate the enrollment of the student in the last grades of High School Hilton Head Island Preparatory School, as the first step to have the possibility to apply and receive a college scholarship.
As a junior golfer there are a few main areas that will help put the students into the spotlight and path to ultimately earn one of those coveted scholarship. To play in college, the student must understand that he is a “Student-Athlete”. The college recruiting process is like going through a job interview. The candidate must be able to highlight what he has done both in the classroom and on the golf course. Coaches are looking for prospective players who have good grades above all else.
The better the student is, the less the coach would have to worry about for the student to be eligible and playing the collegiate level. After the coach is satisfied that you are a great student and would be an asset in college/university, it comes down to what type of player you are on the golf course.

Winning the Girls 15-18 Division was Teresa Casasus of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria -Spain. Casasus, who also attends the Junior Players Golf Academy, overcame her one stroke deficit after the first day finish. Casasus struggled early in her second round of play bogeying three out of her first five holes. Casasus, settled down nicely as she parred holes 6-8 and birdied the challenging 9th hole. Through the first nine in fact, Casasus was behind three strokes to her second day playing partner Katie Plummer of Buford, Georgia who finished in 2nd Place. Finishing in 3rd Place was JPGA student Isidora Quevedo of Chile, who was also paired with Casasus and Plummer on the second day of play. Quevedo finished in the top 3 places in her last 3 events on the HJGT. Have a great day.
